PeakTech 2720 PORTABLE APPLIANCE TESTER

The PeakTech 2720 is designed for testing the safety of electrical appliances in accordance with DGUV Regulation 3 and the BetrSichV directive. The measurement of protective conductor or touch current is performed precisely using the equivalent leakage current method. The device is manufactured to comply with the DIN EN 50678 (VDE 0701) standard for verifying protective measures after repair, and the DIN EN 50699 (VDE 0702) standard for periodic testing.

Measurement values can be clearly read in all lighting conditions thanks to the backlit, inverted LCD display. Testing is performed easily using just three buttons, and the device can be used to test protection class I and II appliances as well as extension cables. Measurements for Riso (insulation resistance), Rpe (protective conductor resistance), and Iea (equivalent leakage current) are carried out, with results displayed using a simple pass/fail indication.

The wiring of earthed sockets is checked, and mains voltage is measured via the Schuko plug. The device is suitable for mobile use as it operates on six AA batteries. With this practical and user-friendly tester, the safety of electrical equipment can be ensured reliably and efficiently.
