The operation is based on the MP1584 high-frequency step-down chopper circuit with integrated overhead power fet. The input voltage must be at least 1.5V higher than the output. The theoretical 3A current capability relies heavily on the cooling of the chopper circuit. Unfortunately, the contact points with each other are not on the core grid.
- Input voltage: 4,5...28V
- regulated output voltage: 0,8...20V (adjustable with a small trimmer)
- output ripple: <30mV
- chopping frequency: 1MHz
- ideal efficiency: 96%
